Setting Up The Coffee/Wine Bar
We have been remodeling our kitchen, and before I reveal the entire kitchen I will share with you one section first, the coffee/wine bar area. I wanted to incorporate open shelving and ship-lap some where in our new design and this was the best spot for it. Here is our before.
As you see my coffee area was my little cart, that was in the way blocking the door, wasn't very practical. So hubby jumped in and started using his hammer, it was very satisfying seeing this kitchen go bye bye.
We picked out Ash wood from lumber yard. The color and the wood grain was just perfect. After processing the wood, the counter top was complete. Next and final step was to add the epoxy finish.
We had also designed and custom made the sign for the bar. The saying was cut out by CNC machine and then painted. The border was the same ash wood we used in the counter top.
Here comes the reveal!
We changed the window. We bought unfinished wood window and painted black ourselves. We kept the original door, just pained black as well. We added the ship-lap and wooden shelves that my husband made from the same wood as the counter top. Overall, I am in love!
